Church Biography

HILLTOP CITY CHURCH started out in April, 2018, as a branch of Christ Apostolic Church, through an intensedesire in our Pastor, Oluwafemi Ogunyemi, for a Christ Apostolic Church assembly where the ministry of the Word will be greatly esteemed. As a young person in the mission, Pastor Oluwafemi Ogunyemi understood the yearnings of the young, teeming population of the mission for sound teaching of God’s word and contemporary worship style.

Therefore, Christ Apostolic Church, Hilltop City Chapel was born, to give the young people in the mission a church where they can worship God with contemporary styles, like their counterparts in other new generation churches and where they can be exposed to and established in sound doctrines of the grace of God.

From our style of worship to sitting arrangements, from the ambience of our worship facility to the teaching of the word of God, we set out to be a different CAC assembly. We take the surprise looks on the faces of our first time attendees, and their testimonies that we are a different CAC assembly, as evidence that we were succeeding in our goals.

But in 2021, we finally yielded to God’s clear instruction, confirmed by many witnesses, and became an independent church. After notifying the appropriate authorities, we changed to an independent church, and the name of the church was changed to Hilltop City Church. From the start till now, it has been a journey of faith and obedience to God. And, God has never failed us. Praise His name forever!
