OUR LIFE BUILDING PROCESS
We are a church with boundless possibilities, where even the most unlikely of men can become, not just sound, mature believers, but even effective ministers of Christ. We are a church for all people, regardless of their history. Our view of people is not who they are now, but who they can become in the hands of God. Thus, to facilitate our the total development of our members, and give them access to the full benefits of membership of our church family, we created a LIFE BUILDING PROCESS. There is no evading this process. It is mandatory!
Membership Orientation Program (MOP)
All first-timers are regarded and celebrated as our guests. Even if they become regular attendees, they can’t join any unit or officiate in our services, until they take the membership training, a seven weeks training where they will be introduced to the basics of Christian faith and the picture
of our church. Only at the end of the training can a person be admitted into the full
membership of our church, and join a unit of service in the church.
Maturity Activation Program (MAP)
Christian maturity does not just happen, but through intentional, focused training. It is the reason for the phase two of our LBP—Maturity Activation Program, aimed at kickstarting the process of maturity. Here, members shall be exposed to the weightiness
of their decision to follow Christ. But since attaining to spiritual maturity is a lifelong work, this is just an introductory course to discipleship. The program also forms part of our workers training. No one can ascend to any leadership position in the church without having undergone this program.
Ministry Development Program (MDP)
Jesus’s ministry of three years turned a bunch of ordinary people into world-class ministers. This is our model in HCC. Our joy is to see our members become ministers of Jesus, serving in the church, and spreading the knowledge of Christ in their spheres of personal and professional influence. This gave rise to the Ministry Development Program, an introductory training, to build ministry consciousness in our members and train them to do ministry. No one can be ordained as a Deacon or Pastor in this church without having undergone this strategic program.
