In Hilltop City Church, all Sundays in the month of June are dedicated to the married couples in our church. These four Sundays are services of intense teaching of God’s word and practical wisdom, with particular focus on issues that borders on marriage.
Our Pastor, O’femi Ogunyemi, always say that no marriage subject to the government of the Spirit and the word of God can crash. Therefore, we seek every opportunity to receive the Word and to pray for our marriages, in other to strengthen our marriages.
In this month-long program, Pastor teaches on biblical marriage lifestyle. Then, we cap the month off on the last Sunday with a beautiful, wedding-like service where couples renew their vows. It is always a beautiful, joyous and inspiring service. After the service, all the couples proceed to a beautiful place for reception, with feasting and dancing.
We have had testimonies of marriages that are repaired and couples reunited. We have also received reports from young, unmarried people, of how they are catching better images of marriage and how they look forward to their own marriage. It is a time of the year that we look forward to eagerly in HCC.
